Awesome! Looks cool with the rubies. Going to experiment with adding those to these logs, in different sizes. Got 2 2.5 and 3mm to mess with.
The description of the 1010 vs 2012 is a good one. What range these dose in is mostly dependent on what stem you want to use. I like glass as the default, and think you can get a little more power out of that larger heater cover and bulb. So the 2012 is kind of my general recommendation. Interesting that you like the 1010 better though! When you use that one with the glass stems you can also get good results out of crazy small amounts of herb.

@jackrod actually makes them himself! I believe he uses the outer sheath from 550 paracord, and silicone stranded wire. Specifically I believe the brand BNTECHGO from Amazon.
He made a guide on a different platform, maybe he could cross post it here

9 3mm ruby balls are now standard in the larger “2012” for a little bit of extra power and some turbulence.
I did make that cable, I use “650 coreless” paracord which in my understanding is the same as 550 but without the inner strands. And silicone insulated, high strand count wire. This makes it super flexible, way more than a typical vinyl coated cable. Can be made with any type of connector for the other end, for a clean result. Easy to do with a soldering iron and the appropriate connectors, I like the metal ones. The hardest part is feeding the wires through the paracord sleeve, need some patience to do that. I can share more info if you’re interested in a DIY. The cables are also available with the logs, and can work for many different devices.

That FNIRSI supply is nice, with the precise voltage/wattage readout and more compact size than a lab supply. Good for going mobile with a USBc power bank too. Another interesting one for anyone else who gets one of these or other logs is the PocketPD. It’s basically a trigger for a feature of USBc PD called Programmable Power Supply. Lets you directly set the output voltage of a USB c supply. My personal supply I use is a cheap 30V/10A switching lab supply. Little big on the desk but super reliable, and cheaper than some of the more compact options.
One of these days I want to design a super compact PWM supply with 2 or even 4 channels, and encoder knob adjustment. Kind of like the ATM from REFC labs, but with custom electronics. I think you really don’t need too much to do it.

B2 stealth tip working great as a slightly smaller bowl. I like the titanium for convection, it heats up quicker, pulls less heat from the herb. Flavor is absurdly good.
Effects of this 1010 are still fantastic, and still enough to lay me down

@NoCTRL discovered that the Dani 9mm->8mm adapter fits the KG facehugger as a bowl, and fits as an 8mm tip on any normal 8mm stem or WPA.
@jackrod thought to try it with the 2012, I already had one, and it is AMAZING. Great cheap metal bowl option, just popped a mesh screen in, it already has a ledge from the reduction bit.

My stem is the same price or so as the log but it’s an amazing experience. Works well with many other dyna stems, I’ve liked it with glass dyna stems especially.
(still using these two logs daily, love them dearly, I use the 1010 primarily and the 2012 alternating every third or fourth bowl, I microdose)

The drop with SG515 went well, we sold out those 4 in one minute! Thanks to anyone who bought one. There will be definitely be more coming. Working on some of my customs now. Need finishing.

Got a wood lathe so going to start making some round bodies as well. Need some bigger blanks for them, though I kind of like these thin ones!
