Torch works real good! No idea how long I heated for..maybe 20-30 secs?
This was with the Ronxs dual flame set to medium and wrapping around the body of the crown.

The T.Bowl is my go to…have you tried a CXL tip yet? Also a good one with thin walls.

The Crown arrived yesterday and spend some time playing around. 
I made a 20mm ID to Crown OD coil adapter out of a CC omega housing I no longer use.
I need a new handle solution tho and could use better bowls. Handle gets too hot and stinks strong of walnut (not awful but not pleasant to me) when heated like this. I wish I had a T.bowl because it doesn’t fit any of my glass TM2 WPAs. I was only able to test with a solo 2 wpa, terpcicle, and injector bowls. I need to dial it in more to get a good roast but I did get some decent low temp hits at 560°f on the PID. It’s been hard to get a fully roasted bowl tho with the thick glass bowl walls blocking the outer ring of the Crowns air outtake holes. I’m sure I still have lots of things to try tho and there’s always the Pockety it’s made for. I just don’t have the money for that or the t.bowl atm unfortunately. It’s been fun so far!

Thanks!! The titanium Tiodw pro mini housing was my first choice but it was just barely a fraction of a mm too small ID
Going to try this later as a temporary handle heat solution until I figure out something more aesthetically pleasing. It’s a Vaphit QOQ titanium collar for the glass stem with silicone o-rings removed being used as a heat sink. Air intake will come in thru the sides where there is the small gap with the airflow a little more isolated from the handle section.
It’s a CC Omega, Vaphit, and JCVAP collaboration of parts!

Oooh nice! Definitely should be easy to rig up a different handle for it as @candles has demonstrated.
I’m impressed by the hits from this little accessory. They can be rather smooth and flavorful.

For sure! So far after testing my temporary heat sink works to keep it cool enough but I can still smell the walnut fairly strongly, but maybe that will fade away eventually.
By chance while figuring out the heat sink I found a great diy bowl to use with the Crown.
It’s the smaller titanium collar for the Vaphit QOQ bowl section. It barely fits into the glass WPA but with one o-ring at the top it is easy to twist on and off and secure. Bowl screen height can be adjusted thanks to the o-ring slots inside too, but so far only tried it at highest position.

Re: the stem. Get a length of M8 bar and cut it down to about 80mm. Whack a couple of o-rings on and slide an 8mm stem over it as the handle. Works great for isolating the heat.
@FortyFistHits I don’t have a CXL unfortunately. I do have a Ceramo xl which I’ve been thinking about trying but tbh I just want to sell the thing and be rid of it.
If the bowl size is similar …
I just have the bowl on a WPA as I used it for the hornet before. Works well.
