I miscalculated a bit and need to stretch out a relatively small amount of herb for a few days until I can get some more. Very happy to have the Simrell Hydro in this situation, which probably gives me personally the most bang for the buck of all my vapes. My second choice for efficiency would probably be the Tempest 2.
Recently picked up a IO Hornet and I am astounded by how much tasty vapour it can pump out using a Dyna tip and inner part if the Hornet injector. .05 ground herb + .03 rosin = 3 huge rips from one heat cycle @ 575f on the 25mm coil adapter. Crazy crazy efficiency, #1 in that category by quite a bit. But …. I have a Simrell HydroXL on the way so we’ll see who wins.
Damn ….. finally have the parts on the way to let me use my UBV1 with the adapters so Ima gonna have to try that. Also have a Vaphit around here somewhere …… ahh, I have scavenged that kit over and over for use on a dozen other vapes. Love the spiral cooling stem & tons of o-rings. Bowl looks interesting.
Awesome! It’s a great combo, and the helix stem works great as a whip mouthpiece too, and also works as a stem for the Healthy Rips fury 3 and other models
You’ll love the stick vape adapter for sure once you get V2 housing parts needed to use it. That and the FMJ are my most used and favourite adapters out of that original set.
Edit to add: that combo also works really well if you like putting a little drop of concentrates on top or in the middle of some herb for an extra potent hit. The very small and narrow bowl ID really helps vaporize both at the same time very efficiently
Would be interesting to me how everyone defines “efficient”, I’m sure there are lots of different meanings floating around. For me, efficient means a dark, even roast, as in “squeezing everything out”. If there are still some light specks left in the flower, then to me it is “less efficient” than an even roast. In that regard, my favorites are the Tornado and the SS WOHW V2, those two devices make the roast almost perfectly even for me in one heat cycle, while also being easy to use and clean. I can also get my other devices to make an almost perfectly even roast, but I would have to jump through hoops to get there, like needing two or more heat cycles or stirring or whatever.
EDIT I have a Hydro XL on the way, my first Simrell device. If it makes it through customs, it might become my new favorite efficiency vape, or vape in general, but for now its what I wrote above.
Mighty crafty veazy are great. Mighty is the most valuable long term having pass trough charging. With the venty i find I use more weed than I have planned since it has 20 l/min with a fully open airflow. Maybe it’s great as the mighty if set at 1/3 or 2/3 airflow but it so nice having 20 l/min I tried just a couple of times. Same for Volcano. The fact the mighty takes more hits than a Venty to kill a bowl lets you feel the medicine while in a Venty you may kill 2 or even three bowls while you still wait to feel the full body effects of the first bowl.
Don’t have an Anvil. Looks nice and seems cool but until now I didn’t think I missed out plus I heard a lot of negative things about the company itself. Maybe I should reconsider…
Agree with you there. Dark, even roast and strength of effects would be my criteria. I also probably would consider vapor production a somewhat minor additional criterion but this is probably what you’d get anyway with a good roast.
