Luckily it fit’s my Cloud Connoisseur coil like a glove. It’s really slick and compact! The boro balls are a nice touch this time. At this temp I’m getting a little bit of a lighter roast than the wired.

The coil for my Hornet was too tight, too. When hot, it trapped the head. I was able to widen the coil using pliers, grabbing the end and twisting it anti clockwise.

Appreciate everyones first impressions and feedback as always!
Regarding loose beads - I noticed a few units doing this during packaging, I figured it wasn’t a huge deal but perhaps I’ll put a strip of tape over the handle hole on the next round.
Initially I was going to send them out fully assembled but after the first couple I noticed it felt like the kit ships/packs a little cleaner with the handle detached so opted to send them out like that for the remainder of the units.

Heads up those clearance coils on my website are the ones from the wired ZXL.
While it could certainly be rigged up for the wireless, the coils I ordered specifically for the wireless ZXL were custom made for that model. They are deeper and have the bottom wrap / axial bottom. This was done for a few reasons, one being I like to dab and a bottom floor heats a 20mm auto spinner worlds better than a barrel coil without a bottom wrap. And two, the added surface area creates more conduction + convection + radiant heat, resulting in a faster and more thorough heat soak at a lower set temperature.
I’ve been getting some absolutely ripping hits even at 450F set temp and I could probably go lower if I wanted to do a reheat.
What you want to do is just twist the coil in the opposite direction the coil was wound in to open up the diameter a h air; you can grab onto it with a pair of pliers to do so.
This is good feedback as this is the first kit I’ve offered without my own supplied coil in quite some time, I believe the last time was the first run of wired ZXLs with the mesh screen air inlet.
It’s always harder to guarantee fitment with coils sourced from other vendors but I can size the next batch down a hair to ensure greater 3rd party compatibility.

Disclaimer: I’m not sure that would happen at all but I am sure that the threaded junction has to be the weakest link on the vape, and I have been just a tiny bit nervous that could happen with coils sourced from other parties.

Kits with stands going out extremely soon, the new ones came out pretty sweet 
apologies for the delays friends there were a few visual defects from the production batch so my metal manufacturer reproduced a few of the stands entirely from new billet stock.

I’m a huge flavor freak and always selling people on the terps, but smoothness is actually my true #1 in a vaporizer.
I have a strong feelings that vape hits should never be harsh, painful, or scorching hot.

This was my main motivation to get off the sidelines and finally jump in on the Phase3 train. I love flavorful flower as much as anyone, but as a med user that doses fairly consistently throughout the day, the ball vapes (I own) do take their toll on my throat.
Seeing the smoothness reports from the FC (RIP 
) thread bumped the ZX/ZXL to the top of my want list a while back. I’m glad everything aligned, and I was able to get an order in.

Giving her a warm welcome with a custom leather handle and a nice stand from a local pottery (made for napkins). Great results so far, thick clouds at 520F and endless power since it’s wired. I also love the heft that the zirconia adds.

I have been teaching myself the craft for 8 years. Nowadays leather work allowed me to cut down my regular job to 3 days per week. I have a Etsy shop mostly for premium dice cups, and I fabricate and repair stuff for my customers. And I make cool stuff for myself, that’s how it all started

Was psyched to see the wireless ZXL delivered but got nervous when I pulled the box out of the mailbox…
Thankfully zirc is pretty strong but the stand even with all its wrapping still sustained damage in the form of chips in the finish:
There’s a handful of chips and scrapes on it which does indeed suck some balls but other than that it is beautiful!
Once I put everything together I’ll share what it looks like.
Edit: turns out the stand I think did get damaged. Seems to be bent down. I reached out to Ryan via email to confirm if this is normal looking or not.

For sure! I imagine I’ll end up defaulting to the wireless over my wired one because I like this stand so much more than the thin metal one that came with the wired one. That blue anodizing pops and it’s glossy just shy of acting as a mirror so light catches it really well.

Yeah it happens. I’m not too bothered it was just a little deflating coming from the initial excitement of delivery day.
No other stand. I’m sure I could make it work for now but i haven’t put the coil in yet.
No rush for me, though. I probably won’t be using it for a couple of weeks.
