Yes. The Crossing PID will work. Auber, CH, Disorderly, and some other re-brands will work.
The High Five, MiniNail, and that type will NOT work due to different pin wiring.

I read back through a lot of this thread and it’s still a little bit confusing how the manufacturing timing and all that works. I’ve been wobbling back and forth on the fence with this one for weeks.
Pending ZXL preorders will be shipping in September.
I was hoping to have them in this month but it’s just not realistic.
As a small boutique brand it takes me some time to accumulate enough preorders to begin the production process due to the minimum machining requirements.
I used to be able to order more extra kits to sell between preorder periods, but since I’ve resisted raising prices with rising costs I haven’t had the buying power to order as many extras, thus everything is on guaranteed preorder reservation at the moment.
I just think there was a big misconception regarding the compact size that the ZX was only for micro doses, but I actually made it for the highest tolerance users so they can keep smoothness and tolerance in check even with a heavy vaping regiment. All while enjoying world class flavor and easy to milk, dense vapor. Micro dosers coming to like it was just an added bonus.

ZX had a great run, super long for a ball vape. I’m hoping to grow the brand, especially with new products like the Mako, so that if I attempt to bring the ZX back, or something new, that there is a larger customer base to help bring an idea to fruition.
Fair enough, right now probably isn’t the best time for me to purchase anyways. I feel like at this rate, I’m likely never going to end up ordering one. By the time I get around to it later this month, it’ll be the next preorder batch and so on and so on. Hoping at some point conditions are just right, perhaps around black friday to help justify the purchase, until then, I’ll be admiring from the sidelines.
I completely get why you need to do it that way with economy of scale and all. I’m sure I’ll get in on one eventually.
I don’t know if this is feasible or if you’d want to do it, but it would be great if, for each product, there were a countdown showing how many units still need to be sold before production can begin. That way, users can get a more accurate idea of when they might receive the product, in addition to the standard estimated delivery times you always include, of course.
I like that a lot, I think it would probably drive sales up as well as calming anxious customers.
How long does it take to heat up the ZXL from cold until it reaches the right thermal equilibrium? How long does it take between bowls for it to fully recover its temperature?
For those who own the ZX, how does the wireless ZXL compare to it?

I’m getting rid of my larger ball vapes, the older I get the more my lungs appreciate it when I take care of them with nice devices like this. I’m sure I’m going to love it!

Well, there was at least one order very early in the year 
I chose the wired ZXL, and I’m very glad I did. This thing has so much instant power. Ngl I’m pretty envious about that sick zirconia handle, and the wire isn’t the most comfortable thing to deal with. But the endless power makes up for that, the ZXL just doesn’t stop delivering. Very thorough extraction and a nice even roast, despite operating at 80F below my beloved Hornet’s sweet spot temperature. I’m very happy to have grabbed one of the last wired units. What a powerhouse.
I thought about picking up the xl wired setup instead of the zxl for that exact reason. In the end though, I saw enough video from early adopters to feel comfortable that the wireless version has plenty of power, at least for how I will use it. But yeah, if the zxl was still a wired setup, I wouldn’t have minded at all.
The plug and play ready bundle is a very slick setup with the compact coil stand, which is a lot of the point for me. Getting rid of the bulky setups that have more power than I can use. I love the wireless setup for that, minimalist. I can deal with an occasional reheat if needed.
Just to set expectations, the simple metal stand that comes with the kit works but is a bare minimum type of support. If you aren’t careful, the heater could move after you place it which could be a hazard depending on what’s around it (most my use is on a tool bench with tool batteries near it). The nicer stand he sells is pretty amazing (even the damaged one i received) and a much safer (and prettier) option I’d recommend looking at in the future.
I wanted a wired ZXL but since there isn’t much demand it seems I pre-ordered a wireless one.
I really love my zx but want a bigger bowl.
The simple metal stands are only included in the now discontinued wired kits (ZX and ZXL). All ZXLs offered are wireless currently.
All the current ZXL kits will have the nicer stand/heating station.
(Just typing it out for clarification. Some of the fast changes can get confusing to any new readers that may end up here. Or maybe I’m just slower than most 
)

I think you got the first of the newer stands I’ve seen in the wild. The squish adds character lol. I think the side by side pics would be cool.
I appreciate the heads up either way, yeah that nicer stand was what sold me on going with the full kit, it’s exactly what I’m going for.
