Feel free to tell me if I’m inserting the stem incorrectly. This is how I’ve always done it, just slower at first when I was getting used to the alignment.

@CumuloTerpene , I usually keep Flaske sitting on flat surface when inserting or removing stem, I feel like I get better control and leverage, but I’m clumsy
On another topic,
Heard Troy’s lament during yesterday’s livestream about new users struggling, heater timing out as they look at lights
To avoid timeout issues when showing new users how to initiate draw, maybe just tell folks:
Hold mouthpiece to lips
Press and hold trigger button
Inhale after haptic buzz
The end of draw will take care of itself
Later can discuss and try different trigger press methods, and mention the default 23 second timeout if they inhale longer than most. For big lunged folks, I would recommend holding Flaske left handed so can peek at lights turning blue
Yes, it would be nice if there was haptic when heater shuts off. But inadvertent premature shutoffs can be avoided with use and familiarity: especially awareness of your finger pressure/placement on trigger during draw…watched Bud get several “ghost hits” (no Ghost pun intended) , as he must have tapped trigger button during draw when using the single press start method
OG Bowle V1 was annoying with “ghost hits”, as the firmware controlling the heater was too sensitive to momentary pauses or sudden slow downs in draw. V2 fixed that firmware issue IME, and Flaske is also forgiving of very short pauses
Most vapes have glass stems that insert into metal and you do not get flakes of metal coming off so why does this happen with the Tafee Flaske?
This is not me being sarcastic as I do not own one so do not understand how this can be happening?
I love my flaske. Have loved it every day since i got it. I dont notice the alignment issues as much as some of you, I guess. And i dont have issues with flecks of anything around my mouthpiece.
Am I the only one still enjoying it?
I like it too, @shtooper , also like posing Flaske with glass
Better to pose Flaske with glass rather than try inverting it on a rig via stoner adaptation, which would negate the top down heat upon herb flow, … and why? Rig habits? Flaske cools well as it is
Fun glass version of infamous art stunt, by glass artist Nic McGuire, he told me it took a while to get the banana skin colors looking realistic, and he cold worked the “tape” edges
Top down heat really isn’t doing anything special. Signature between the Flaske and the Convex damn near the same. Not to mention you’re more than likely using it at 90 degrees already which negates the top down heat
. Some of us like walking our own trails while others take predetermined paths
Don’t tell me no!

Flaske – One Week In
After a full week of daily use, I figured I’d share some thoughts now that the honeymoon period is settling in.
The Good
This has easily been my most reached for vape over the past week. Some of that may be because I’m on vacation and have been doing a lot of day trips, but it has absolutely excelled in that role. It’s come with me on walks, bike rides, beach trips, car rides, patio lunches, errands, and it’s become my go-to before the gym. It’s just incredibly easy to work into everyday life.
The device itself is smaller than I expected. I can completely palm it with only the stem sticking out, making it one of the most discreet portables I’ve owned. Sitting on a patio table, nobody gave it a second glance and honestly, it almost looks like a premium battery bank.
Build quality is exceptional. The fit and finish remind me of an Apple product. Everything feels solid, refined and very high-end.
Heat up time is excellent, flavour is fantastic, and the vapor can get surprisingly punchy.
I’ve settled into a few different session styles:
- Two hits on Level 3 followed by a cleanup hit on Level 5.
- One large hit on Level 4 followed by a big cleanup hit on Level 5.
- Or if I’m in a hurry, straight to Level 5 for a quick one-and-done session.
One thing I really enjoy is the airflow sensor. It doesn’t seem quite as sensitive as my Bowle 2, which actually works well for me. I can mix in little “cigar puffs” during a draw without the heater cutting out, making it easier to build up some really impressive clouds. That’s especially nice if you don’t always have the lung capacity for a continuous 20-second inhale.
Charging has also been impressively quick.
The Downsides
My biggest complaint so far is removing the stem. Mine is really tight. It takes a fair amount of effort to pull out, and I could see this being frustrating for anyone with reduced hand strength or dexterity. Hopefully it loosens up with use, but after a week it’s still pretty stiff.
The only other minor concern is the proprietary charging cable. Charging is fast, but if you happen to run the battery flat and don’t have that charger with you, you’re out of luck.
As for the leather case, I’ve only actually used it once (at the beach). Every other outing I’ve just carried the Flaske as is without any issues (knock on wood). Whether I use the case really depends on what I’m doing that day, but I do genuinely like having it.
Final Thoughts After Week One
Week one is officially in the books, and I’m extremely happy with this purchase.
Time will tell where it ultimately lands in my long-term rotation, but right now it’s proving to be one of the most practical, polished, and enjoyable portable vapes I’ve owned. It’s the vape I instinctively grab when I’m heading out the door, and honestly, that’s probably the highest compliment I can give it.
I don’t know if they’ve changed the charging circuitry but my TB2 will work with any USB-A to USB-C cable as anything powering the USB-A end has to be 5V max. Powerbanks with USB-A out should work imo.
Same. I’ve also used USB-C out – so long as it was converted to USB-A before converting back to USB-C for plugging into the device. I have a short USB-C (male) to USB-A (female) adapter.
Exact same results on my TB2 and my Flaske.
LMAO this is incredible
That’s really strange. I’ve tried charging my Flaske and my TB2 with different chargers, and they almost always work. The only chargers that don’t work are my Venty’s fast charger and my laptop’s USB-C charger. It really makes me think there’s some kind of protection against high-power chargers. And if I’m not mistaken, USB-C to USB-C cables don’t work either. They seem to require a USB-A to USB-C cable instead.
Well, my Flaske saga is coming to an end. I sent it back to have them look at the fit of everything, and they’ve given me the option for a refund, which I appreciate and accepted.
Their reasoning for the poor fit was a mixture of “It is intentional” and “We’re still refining our manufacturing”.
I loved the performance and form factor, but that was entirely too much money for the quality of the product I received.
I think I might pick up a Convex 2, and a FW12 whenever it drops
this thing seems to be kind of a bust no? seems like some are happy with it but maybe expectations were just so high based on bowlee performance? flaking metal… few cables can charge it, can’t swap batteries, poor fit finish.. not sure how the pros outweigh cons with something $600+
This is why there should be more beta testing before release. I like my Flaske and don’t regret purchasing it but fit finish was poor, battery issue doesn’t really matter to me I know how to get there. Metal flaking should be something they resolve it was pretty obvious that it was a likelihood early on
