Tafee Flaske

From a performance standpoint it is great. Top tier level output and flavor in a portable.

Extremely simple to use, though battery check is a bit tricky because it doesn’t always register correctly and instead fires the oven. From a user interface perspective there’s no other real complaints. Simple is nice here, I don’t care about specific temps if it is outputting something wonderful with the preprogrammed levels.

It’s the appearance, handling for reloading, fit from improperly sized gaskets, and metal dust creation from the fit issue caused by the improperly sized gaskets that are my gripes. I stopped using the pick plug and just put a silicone plug in the moutpiece which stopped new dust creation from scraping. The other things I deal with but could be better, and once they get their shit sorted on manufacturing tolerances it would be nice to offer free replacement parts or (if we have to send it in) cover shipping costs and maybe offer at least a small discount for the inconvenience to get our product up to par with what we see in the pictures on their website.

On Tafée as a whole, performance has NEVER been the problem. It’s the choices made for things like battery accessibility (it really didn’t have to be made to be that hard), uncommon charging standard (not the biggest issue for me but worth mentioning bc it sucks when you don’t have the right cable while the usb-c one you have works with pretty much everything else released the last few years), and lack of accountability that frustrate me.

I don’t think it’s a bust. It is clear that Tafée has more diehard supporters than any other top tier model and likely will purchase anything and everything they put out. And that’s great for Tafée because at some point with how awesome the performance is, i really hope they get these things sorted in a future device and I can feel happy from the point of ordering all the way through a hopefully extended honeymoon period.

It’s a great product, but for what it is the only thing I would call a bust is the price point.

i mean i don’t own one but if i was on the fence i’d pick a frolic or something else over it after reading the flaws, hopefully they realize you guys are diehards and willing to keep going with them.. a niche maker that makes a mess of it’s customers is always one step away from being out of business

I don’t know that I’m super eager to spend more money with them. Time will tell, I suppose.

So much of this could have been avoided with some communication and a delay. Instead, we got tracking numbers that didn’t move for weeks. And when the final product was delivered, it looked and felt incredibly rushed.

Someone looked at my unit (hehe) and said, “That’s good enough, send it”. I expect better for one of the most expensive vaporizers on the market.

I know it doesn’t make those that bought them feel better, but this is a risk you take being an early adopter. The benefits is you usually get a freebie or a discount to be a betta tester. If or when I get one I’ll likely pay the same or higher and I’ll have to lay out cash for the accessories.

What bothers me is that I’m not seeing any promises of improvements or even people getting them back with better fit and finish. It’s like they don’t care? Time will tell. I held off on the Venty and so far it’s been perfect.

In defence of mine it arrived flawless and has had none of the issues some describe here. Not only that but while traveling about with me regular (which does not always go well for some devices). Its (in my case) the best portable i have owned in my opinion.Had a bowle v1 but the form was off the wall a bit.Love this thing discreet enough and powerful enough but I am seeing the variable mileage all over this thread.Hopefully the proper full release brings more consistency in qc with it.

After all of this, including the many delays, the dead product on the first try, the questionable fit and finish, hidden potential tariffs and delivery fees, and the company’s clear propensity to hide the ball…

I love the device when it works. The fit and finish continued to bother me, but I just am worn out hassling with Tafee.

I will not be an early adopter with this company in the future. I will wait for the expert and everyday user reviews and for the refinements that take place in production round two.

Could you post some pictures of it for reference?

Can anyone recommend a tip long enough to use in the leather case?

Here is the final reply from Tafee Technologies. I’m very disappointed that they will not even offer a replacement for my device that THEY have admitted I’m using correctly but it still producing metal flakes. I cannot believe this is their policy. I will absolutely not be recommending this company in the future. Nobody should pay this much money for such poor customer service and quality control.

I feel like I’m out over $600 for a beta test product that’s not safe to use.

" Thank you for your message and for taking the time to record and share the videos with us.

The insertion technique shown in your video, aligning the stem with the guide rails and inserting it correctly is the recommended way.

If the stem is consistently inserted in this manner, it will not produce the type of abrasion that was visible in the earlier photographs you shared. We therefore recommend thoroughly cleaning the affected areas and continuing to use the device as demonstrated in your video.

If you do so and use your device as you show in your video, you will not cause the abrasions around the device.

Our experience has shown that this type of abrasion does not occur when the stem is consistently inserted as designed, and it is not an issue experienced by Flaske owners using the device as recommended.

Regarding the residue visible on your isopropyl wipe after cleaning the base of the stem, this is a normal result of the aluminum rail naturally transferring resin and debris that can accumulate in the bottom of the stainless steel stem base over time, not metal dust.

Routine cleaning of this area is recommended and should prevent any significant buildup.

We understand your concerns and appreciate that you take the safety of the device seriously.

We do as well. Based on our evaluation of the information and videos you have provided, we do not believe your Flaske presents a safety concern when used and maintained as intended.

With respect to your request for a return, we regret that we are unable to accept returns or provide refunds for devices that have been used.

We appreciate your understanding and hope you continue to enjoy pleasant aromatherapy with Flaske.

Best Regards,

The Tafée Team."

That is some gaslighting if I’ve ever heard it.
“Yes, you are inserting it correctly.”
“There is no abrasion if done correctly.”
“What you are seeing is not abrasion of the aluminum, it is resin and dust.”
“Never mind the obvious wear on the parts.”

“It is safe, we can tell from here.”

WTF?!?
I hope people see what this company is doing to it’s early supporters. They will not improve if not required.

100%!!!

And let’s not forget their comments about fit and finish: “it’s within acceptable tolerances”with no explanation about the obvious differences, we have all observed in the devices we received.

As always, the users, opinions and observations are completely ignored, and in fact gaslighted.

I like my two Taffe devices but I am no longer a fan of the company. I am still considering reporting them to the Canadian and US consumer and export authorities. I think they have been playing games. I would’ve gladly let them continue playing those games if they behaved in a more respectful, transparent way.

I am mot having any wear issues and i have been inserting and removing the stem to “break it in”. It is getting easier to remove and replace it.

I can see what they’re talking about air path alignment. I think the scraping would be remedied with a piece of that oring material they use on their grinder replacing the bottom of the stem. It seems that is where the rubbing is.

This is my first tafee product and i have only had it 3 days. I am not super crazy about the screen fitment/replacing. I am sure it is just me , but it seems tedious to get it perfect.

battery life is ok. I am about 14 bowls in on this last full charge and i have 2 lights left. That isn’t “bad” but it would have been nice to have a user “swappable” battery instead of a user “replaceable” battery….then i suppose battery life it wouldn’t matter.

i LOVE how fast it heats up. I mean seriously, this device is literally a cartridge device for flower. The on device pod storage is excellent for portability. The air flow is nice. Hits are cool and tasty. I get about 3 decent hits per pot on setting #4 on 3 i get 4-5. Have not tried any other settings so far.

Can i just say that i absolutely hate the stock MP. It is too small, but i can see the stealth appeal. Waiting for the simrell MP or i may have one made for me….i dont know yet. Right now i am using the infinity stem MP. it is super comfortable.

the pod storage grinder is meh. It works, but unless you nail the nugg size perfect, you will either be under packing or you will have ground flower left over on top of the pod tray that is a bit tricky to get off without making a mess.

only been 3 days with it, but overall, i like it so far. It won’t replace my simrells for in-home use, but it will be my “on-the-go” or “in the yard” setup exclusively. There are some minor tweaks i would do to improve it, but they would be minor. The device manufacturer’s fitment is pretty good on mine. I know some people reported the individual panels being off a bit.

I can see what people are saying about it being a $600 device and needing it to be perfect or at least tested more.

IF they should come out with an updated version that has fixes in place for some of the identified issues (like the metal rubbing), i would HOPE they remedy the devices of the early adopters free of charge. If they don’t, this will be the last device i will be getting from them. $600 is too much money to pay to beta test the device for them, without them making issues right….but we will see. No judgements on that yet.

All-in-all, i like the device so far. I am not unhappy about spending the money for it, but i question my “need” for it. It will get used..but how “much” remains to be seen once the novelty effects wear off. I do know it will not unseat my simrells in the daily driver arena.

They will come up with some excuse. It’s obvious that they do not plan to rectify any of these issues from the loyal group of early adopters.

Dani Fusion 2 tip fits the FLASKE perfectly.

Also, the screens for me are super easy to change out. I use the little storz annd bickel Orange pick tool and I insert it that way.
easy Peezy every time.

I have a couple of tips from MMS Metalworks. The tip made for the Flaske doesn’t go in as far as the OEM white tip, but it fits just as snug. It still fits in the storage, but sticks out more than the OEM tip does. I saw on Instagram that MMS Metalworks items are going to be carried by @Delta3DStudios , but I don’t know if it has happened yet.

I emailed them yesterday and they sent me a pic and pricing. I am gonna wait for simrel’s MP or get the 8mm->9mm adapter for the sinrell chiseled stinger MP.

The infinity stem MP works really well and firs perfect
