Oh cool. I just ordered a Goodie that also uses 12mm OD stems.
She’s a beast. I got one back in the day specifically to try using it with an IH but it ended up being too wide to fit all the way through the Wand. The bowl is huge. On the order of half a gram at least.
Goodie is an interesting one, I like the 12mm stem size. That’s what the larger of my logs use, and I believe is the size of the V-stick, Quartz Cap Mini, “I’ll think of something”, 14mm quartz cap and Terpedo as well. It’s a standard tubing size for 14mm male joints, but there are also some 13mm ones out there.
Yeah wouldn’t fit all the way through the wand. Do you have calipers to measure the OD of the heater? I would be curious if it might fit the YLL with an induction sleeve or if it would need a custom IH. Some of Dave’s vapes are ridiculous with the bowl size haha.

Yeah 12mm OD seems to be a popular size. Arizer stems are also 12mm OD but widen to almost 15mm at the bowl side.
I don’t have precise calipers but I’ll try and eyeball the OD of the Terpedo heater with a ruler when I dig it out. Full disclosure though, I’ve read that it’s been through a few iterations and I have an early one. I think he’d even discontinued it at one point and brought it back recently.
Yeah it’s come back recently, it now has a slightly different design. Removed the slits on the bowl and flared the test tube. Might be slightly thicker too. I think the terpedo was one of his earliest designs. The new one should be more durable.
To get back on topic though I feel like the vaphits are an interesting different approach. The little metal collar is a nice solution. Glad to see they are correcting mistakes proactively.
Weird. I didn’t even notice the qoq+ until it was mentioned here. RN only vaphit has them in stock. It’s actually a little cheaper than the original (ss vs titanium collar) but the design improvements look promising. Larger, domed bowl and more airflow. I think that’s the winner for me. Just gotta wait for vgoodiez to get it in so I don’t have to pay an extra $20 for shipping and duties

Very excited. I think this thing can have some very real potential as my new beginner recommendation. The TRWW stuff is lovely and an insane value, but the handling will always be off putting to a lot of people. The metal collar system totally fixes that IMO. The bowls being quartz are nice as well, with my QoQ I’ve actually just been torching my QoQ bowls to clean any chazzing, til the quartz glows. I’m sure it’s not recommended by them lol, but works great.
The TRWW bowls work well, and he’s flexible with pinches and bowl sizes, but the pinches can be difficult to clean, and still require a mesh screen for use with most ground flower.
The integrated quartz screens in the QoQ and now QoQ plus are a big boon for me.
So I found my old Terpedo heater that I tried to get working with the Wand. I used some metal foil held in place with wiring and it might’ve worked but didn’t fit in the Wand like I said earlier. The OD was about 18mm as near as I could measure without calipers.
I’ll probably pull the trigger on the QoQ or QoQ+ to try IH with them.
Thanks for the info. That makes sense. Unfortunately a little large to fit in the YLL once the ss is on, maybe a bigger IH like the bolt buster ones or the mini ZVS would work.

I’m confused, what’s the difference really between the QoQ and the HX?
The HX has a metallic bowl, while the QoQ has a quartz bowl.
My QoQ plus showed up yesterday and I had a chance to open and assemble it today. Feels nice enough and I did a dry run with a torch (Yocan Katana) to familiarize myself. I’ll hopefully get a chance to try it in the next week after I get a chance to grind some more for my Reloads.
Should this do whole nugs ok? Might be able to try sooner, if so.
The threads on this first one seemed to be perfectly fine but I still worked them a bit like the email said. The fixed kit they sent as part of that support email to everyone that bought early should be here in a couple of days so I’m planning to give that to my buddy.
I’d say it could do whole nugs. Just going to be a PITA to get the spent nug out unless you got tweezers handy.
I’m going to try a whole nug in the reg QoQ I have.
I don’t own a QoQ (yet) but all these types of vapes made from glass or quartz similar to the Vaponic make use of radiant heat really well. Whole nugs should vape just fine.

will give more thoughts tomorrow… it’s great though, I’m blasted off my ass, hard to type. Here’s some pretty pictures. The straight tube mouthpiece sucks, besides that, 10/10 buy it. The vaphit spiral mouthpiece, a simrell vortex, a firewood stem, whatever, it will be better. They include a WPA, just use that with a dry pipe or cooling stem even. Them including the WPA makes it not an issue IMO, although personally I would have always used my own stems anyways.

I’ve been trying to get the QoQ or QoQ+ from soothingvapors up here in Canada but they’ve been sold out for a while now. I wanna see if I can get it working with an IH.
I’m in Canada and ordering direct from Vaphit site was smooth. No customs/duties etc and shipment was pretty fast (within a couple weeks I think)
Edit: oh and about IH use. Yes you absolutely can 
This was a big OHE at 75w for 60 seconds in the YLL IH 3.0 using a strip of magnetic 430 stainless steel wrapped around the cap. Definitely pushed it to max extraction so can probably lower watts or seconds next time
