Tinymight 2

Yes sir, FC died so needed a new forum to check out the vaping news.

Same here man. FC was always a place to go if you wanted to know about any vaporizer. Unfortunately, towards the end, it got all political…. terrible atmosphere TBH.
Anyway, there seems to be a lot of people here with vape knowledge like yourself. Long live dry herb vaporizers!

After multiple months of use the TinyMight 2 is still my undisputed top battery powered portable. Now those battery free hot sticks (Tempest 2, etc) have moved into my personal reach test lead though.

Been messing around with screens for a third party stem (Glass Charlie), I don’t like regular basket screens as some don’t fit and all use too much real estate that I want herb to occupy. I was going to opt for Red Eye gauzes then it occurred to me to try a spare gauze from the Tinymight V2 Cooling Unit. Oh boy, what an experience. It’s lovely. If you have that type of stem or similar and have some lying around give it a go. If you have that type stem and don’t have any lying around. Buy them!

Greetings everyone,

This thread is always interesting…

I love TM…I have a few. I wanted to get the Black Wood but, I have my eye on the new version with the Red Wood…that is so gorgeous and now I am confused on which one to get.

Sabina posted a bad ass photo of the Black wood…its so bad ass. Also, TM quality is just beyond great…what an amazing vape and company. I will give in to VAS soon…very soon.

Cheers,

DrG

PS The Black Wood is a painted wood? What is the wood?

It’s oak I believe, had some treatment, I don’t think it’s paint though.

It doesn’t feel like paint at all, it’s a woody feel

I think that’s the feel they were going for. Are you still enjoying yours as it arrived with the Zirconium + V2 Cooling? Those are the biggest improvements I’d say. I had a bash at cleaning the cooler without taking it apart, just removed the o ring and did the usual stuff. Effortless.

The Zirconium + V2 Cooling are just perfect for me, love the airflow. And to clean like you said very easy, just remove one o ring and soak in iso. The TM2 black exceeds my expectations

My only dislike about them is the harsh edge around the Zirc stem, added a wooden mouthpiece for comfort. Got this from Azzwood Customs, African Blackwood. Went for Chechen wood for my Titanium stem with the new cooler.

My ill fated attempt to get a Black Walnut. I’ve cogitated for a couple of days on my options. The key thing here is I get a second TM2 to fit my life better than one would. I like the black finish but I’ve seen that it is prone to scuffing (a recent Ebay one). I know walnut doesn’t have the best expansion/contraction attributes under thermal load, oak is a bit better and white ash better still. Pity the Purple Heart is gone. [Screech from needle dragged on record] No wait. Magic Vapouriser have them in stock! Ordered. Getting my birthday tingles all over again and for the nth time. This is what happens when you think out of yer box. Back in the edit to say that it’s being shipped from a warehouse less than 5 miles away. Much better carbon footprint!

This is very beautiful.

Yeah I don’t know why I didn’t plum for this before, plum intended lol, purple is my favourite colour. I’m debating adding to the financial burden with a matching mouthpiece from Azzwood Customs

Doing a little cleaning this morning. Don’t forget to clean out the inside of the stirring tool compartment. Some bits of herb came flying out lol.

Is it a problem when I use this oil for the tinymight2 black? I apply it on guitar fretboards as wood conditioner, but also on the metal parts. My favorite oil, it smells good and a few drops go a long way. It makes the guitar woods and metals look shiny as new after polishing it with a cloth.

They only recommend food safe beeswax, that smells quite nice too albeit briefly. You have to think about the heating side of things, how does this oil behave in that environment?

That’s why I ask, I only used it on woods that don’t heat up. Maybe I better don’t risk using it

Just checked, the food safe beeswax for cutting boards is the best. I think you can even make your own using pure beeswax and some mineral oil. I opted for a tin of the stuff pictured below. Been using it for the last 4 months or so, so I excluded it as a suspect in my recent woes. You hardly use any, as little as possible, similar to guitars really. It’s also great for o rings, I give them a quick ISO wipe, hot water clean then some beeswax cream. Really brings them back to life and keeps them supple.

I don’t have any scientific evidence to back this up, but my gut says to not use it. Better safe than sorry.

Edit: also, I’ve had mine for about two years now, and I’ve never oiled the wood. I’ve never found it to be necessary. Fred boards are another story though lol.
