Transient Mist Flow Pro & TVibe — Two New Dry Herb Vaporizers

He isn’t I talked to him its just a copy job

Oh, we’re lucky to have someone here who has already had some hands-on time with both units! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Could you give us a little more detail about the differences between the Flow Pro and the TVibe, especially in terms of actual performance and vapor characteristics? Do they really feel and perform noticeably differently from each other?

It would also be really helpful if you could compare them to some existing devices. From what I’ve understood so far, the Flow Pro seems like it might be closer to something like the Frolic, with a hybrid/convection-heavy approach, while the TVibe appears to be pure convection, which makes me think it might behave more like a Tinymight 2.

Is that a fair comparison, or am I misunderstanding how these two devices actually work and perform?

Since you’ve actually used both, I’d be really interested to hear which existing vapes they remind you of the most.

Well, it looks like the thread has now made its way over to Reddit, and as the saying goes, the shit is starting to hit the fan.

Here’s a screenshot of a conversation between the person who started the thread and Limelight’s customer service.

Honestly, guys, this whole story is starting to remind me of Santa Barbara (for those who don’t know it: an old-school soap opera full of passion, betrayals, secrets and dirty tricks — my grandmother loved it :joy:).

Hopefully we’ll get some more clarification in the next few days. If I understand correctly, we should hear more about these new vaporizers once the current official holidays in China are over.

Anyway, just sharing this here for those following the story.

This is what I got back he did say that it looked like a Chinese company launching a product over a proven design which is more or less fine.

Seems like Dejan knows nothing about it then.

Strange that Transient Mist have told Soothing Vapors that there is a connection and that Dejan was aware.

Perhaps Soothing Vapors need to contact Limelight directly and discuss this.

If I were to guess they work with Limelight as a parts source basically the China model anyway

Could be.

It’s clear now that it’s an unauthorised knockoff though and that Transient Mist have no problem taking and using others work and telling untruths about it.

would say the one thing that kinda helps is Dejan didn’t seem bothered by it and referred to it as mostly fine. Still best people know and make their own decisions kinda where I sit

That’s disappointing but ultimately not a shock for a company like that. The website was the biggest flag… I just really can’t stand dishonest businesses.

Everyone (except apparently Dejan) has there shorts in a bunch over similarities with the Frolic, but what concerns me more as a consumer is this from the website.

“Incomplete, damaged, or incorrect orders

3. You are entitled to receive a replacement for goods with major defects. Please report damaged, incorrect, or incomplete orders to us via email within two (2) days after receipt. TRANSIENT MIST does not accept returns of and will not issue refunds for new and unused devices. TRANSIENT MIST does not repair damaged devices nor provide spare parts for repair.”

Two days warranty,no returns, no refunds, no parts. You pays your money, you takes your chances.

Apparently they won’t deliver to most places anyway:

2.2 Regarding delivery service, currently we only support Australia and New Zealand, other areas do not support delivery.

Amateur hour springs to mind :joy:

I read that and found it amusing with the logic of right to repair but no parts lol

For my part, I tried contacting them (yesterday ) through the WhatsApp number listed on their website. It’s a Hong Kong number. They eventually replied and told me they only ship within Australia.

They honestly seem pretty confused. The person I spoke with wasn’t even sure which vaporizer I was referring to. The contact appears to be a distributor carrying several different vaporizers, which makes me think the manufacturer behind these devices may also produce other models.

I’m sharing a screenshot of the conversation.

Talk about confusing after a Canadian company is the one that mentioned them first. Kinda looks like the head doesn’t know what its ass is doing

Sounds like one to avoid unless and until they can get their act together. On the plus side, it might be a viable option for those “down under”.

Like the prices, this industry will not expand much with new $500 & $600 vapes. Only enthusiast like us are in that market.

Damn — apologies if anything I shared or inferred was misleading. We were given an elaborate backstory about the development relationship, including what was presented to us as established provenance.

The “verify” part of “trust but verify” is why I chose to raise the information publicly rather than presenting the story as verified. If I had privately received some purported confirmation and then presented that as proof, the community would likely want to verify that information itself anyway. In this case, I was hoping that presenting to the community directly (particularly folks who might have an established connection to Dejan) would be the optimal/most transparent way to establish whether the claimed provenance actually existed.

Now that Dejan has directly addressed it, I’m happy to correct the record.

I know there’s a language gap, but when the fine print starts talking like Gollum, that’s a lil concerning.

That sounds like something a shell game operator says before disappearing into the crowd.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I think they need to clarify some things.

I feel like soothingvapours may have made a deal to be the only shop for Canadians to buy it from by the sounds of the email I got from him, but I really don’t know. It’s just really odd that they’d ship to Australia but no where else in the world? They may have just been thinking Australia because it’s a fellow commonwealth country …this site is glitching on my phone so this was really hard to type since nothing is lining up wtf :joy_cat:
