They used to recommend soaking the wood components in acetone, but I can no longer find that in their instructions.

Thx for the info. I just googled acetone in this context and while it apparently does clean resin well, it also seems to have the same disadvantages/risks as iso when it comes to wood. I will leave it for now, but some time in the future I think I will just swipe it quickly with an iso q-tip and put a little bit of wax on afterwards. I feel like thats ok if I only do it every solstice.
Be careful to keep a light hand on the wax. It vaporizes close to the temp of the flower, and tastes like burning oil.

I can recommend to clean the sticky parts when the unit is warm. I use just a tissue for that and clean the Screen and the side of the Mouthpiece plus a swab for the bowl before the unit cools down.
