I revised my order. For weeks I was torn between ordering the ZX or ZXL. I finally decided on the ZXL and placed that order a little while back. But after some recent comments here, and spending some time re-reading the P3 thread on the FC archive, I asked Ryan if it’d be possible to switch my order. It was done quickly and without issue.
The fact the ZXs are going to be extinct (for now) soon, coupled with it seems to match my personal style (all day) quite well, and some of the FC vets that I’ve always added some extra weight to their opinion typically rave about it, I feel like I couldn’t pass up a possible last chance at a legendary device.
*It will not affect production or ETA of current ZXL orders, so don’t dm me angry messages
I get that I asked the same question 6 days ago, honestly, I’m still a little confused. With the back and forth conversation and answers between the zx, zxl and zxxl, I kinda lost track lol. At any rate, thank you for confirming, and the additional info, I appreciate it! And congrats on the ZX!!
@Oden@invertedisdead I have read that companies which are selling/shipping directly to someone in Germany are seen as the producer of the package material they use and it will be handled as if it would be the first import of this material. They have to register and provide a (local?) authorised representative in Germany. Surprisingly this has to be done not once but in each and every EU country you are shipping to.
If this is applicable for small businesses I can’t see how they can comply with legal requirements.
The ZXXL bowls use a mesh screen to access the 3 screen positions.
Right before FC died I posted a concept render for a wireless ZX hybrid which used a machined screen bowl though.
A lot of enthusiasts don’t really like fixed screen bowls so it can be tricky to get people excited about them but I think it’s from poor experiences with bad glass designs.
The mako bowl was inspired by the S&B dosing capsule as people seem comfortable with that layout.
