I ordered my first Lotus yesterday, also picked up the gentleman’s pipe. I’ve seen lots of videos of it being used with the hook it comes with, but none with the gentleman’s pipe. Anyone have any experience with that setup? Cleaning, airflow etc..?

@APOTH406 - I just got mine a couple weeks ago. The airflow is a little restricted, but I didn’t notice much difference between the draw on the glass and wood pipes. I did find that is if I hold it anywhere near the bowl, the glass pipe get uncomfortably hot to me. The wood pipes stays cool. I haven’t had to clean it yet.

For cleaning the lotus wood gentleman’s pipe, an old school pipe cleaner will fit through the hole, once you remove the mouthpiece. There’s a small straight bore between the two sections, you can just run it through after a session, or add a tiny bit of isopropyl to the pipe cleaner. I then just use Q tips to swab it out.
I also added a simrell intercooler multitool inside my mouthpiece, it fits perfectly and acts as a giant intercooler.

Is that the one they sell with the cooling stand specifically? Thats a great idea, I plan to use the gentleman’s pipe with my tornado as well if it doesn’t kill me

Keeps the pipe farther away from my face, but more importantly, moves it further away from my eyes so I can see what I’m doing with the torch lol
Also, I’m ready to hang with Gandalf and Strider at The Prancing Pony

Gentlemans pipes cool but find the clearer pipes easier since I can gauge how close I am to the line. Hookmates the way with this one makes it easier all around

I’m used to using my sticky bricks, terpcicles etc…. so I have a pretty good feel by the vapor for when I’m riding the line. Seeing is definitely an advantage though and I’ve combusted plenty of times, but not for a while.

Loving the Lotus together with the NTWN Deco bubbler lately. I use it dry with some glass beads inside. It’s very stable, you can see the vapour inside nicely and it seems a bit better controllable via breath when compared to the standard j-hook or gentleman pipe (both of which I also appreciate a lot). Also just like the look and feel.

I’ve had broken my Lotus while putting the poker in too hard - the wood just snapped, please be careful people, it was awesome and IMO a lot easier to use than Sticky Brick etc.
